Teaching Philosophy
The two quotes that embody my personal mission as an educator are “Different not less” (Temple Grandin) and “Every student can learn, just not on the same day, or in the same” (George Evans). My personal mission, as an educator, is to help young minds develop into individuals who celebrate differences and are inclusive of all abilities. Professionally, I hope to create learning experiences that provide students with a sense of belonging, mastery, independence, and generosity. I hope to develop a classroom environment where all students feel they are an integral part of group. I aim to help my students grow academically and master new skills. I plan to provide my students with opportunities to be independent and learn to be self-advocates. Lastly, I hope to help students develop into individuals who are generous and willing to help others.
